Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Mr Norman Chan, expressed today (August 12) his condolences on the passing away of Dr Lee Quo-wei.
"Dr Lee was a highly respected banker, who contributed greatly to the development of Hong Kong's banking industry. We are much indebted to his wise counsel on HKMA's work and the development of Hong Kong's financial sector when he served as a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee during the inception years of the HKMA.
"My colleagues and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Dr Lee's family," said Mr Chan.
