For over 50 years, Eddie Lau has wowed fashionistas with his eye-popping, lovingly crafted designs. His expert tailoring and imaginative flair, combined with his stick-to-it-iveness and drive for excellence made a perfect fit for the fiery songstress Anita Mui. Together, the young duo soared to stardom in their respective fields.
Their precious friendship shines through in an exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum that will run until mid-January. About 70 of his works are on display, including more than 20 stage costumes specially created for Anita Mui. Each item is filled with love, and conjure up memories for him, he said.
He tells his life story, and shares some of Mui's, in an interview with news.gov.hk that appears today (August 11) on news.gov.hk in print and video features.
