The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 8) that the following leisure and sports facilities will be temporarily closed:
(a) The main arena at Fa Yuen Street Sports Centre in Yau Tsim Mong District will be temporarily closed from August 12 to September 10 for urgent repair work. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open as usual. During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at the nearby Boundary Street Sports Centre and Tai Kok Tsui Sports Centre.
(b) The natural grass soccer pitch and the golf driving range at Wo Yi Hop Road Sports Ground in Kwai Tsing District will be temporarily closed from August 31 to October 10 for turf maintenance works. During the closure period, the public may use the soccer pitch at Kwai Chung Sports Ground or Tsing Yi Sports Ground in the same district.
