Approval has been given for the appointment of Mr LO Wai-chung, Stephen as Deputy Commissioner of Police with effect from August 13, 2013, upon the retirement of Deputy Commissioner (Operations), Mr Tang Kam-moon.
Brief biographical notes on Mr LO Wai-chung, Stephen are set out below:
Mr Lo, 51 years old, joined the Hong Kong Police as an Inspector in 1984. He was promoted to Senior Superintendent in 2002, Chief Superintendent in 2005, Assistant Commissioner in 2009 and Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police in 2011. He is currently the Director of Crime and Security. He has served in a variety of posts in the Force.
