Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 1) that the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) has classified the water quality at Kiu Tsui Beach in Sai King District as Grade 2, which means the water quality has improved and the beach is suitable for swimming.
The water quality of the beach was classified as Grade 4 earlier by the EPD and unsuitable for swimming.
However, due to big waves, the red flag has been hoisted at the beach. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
