The Police Recruitment Day organised by the Hong Kong Police Force at the Police Headquarters today (July 28) attracted about 1 600 applications.
The event provided one-stop service to applicants for the post of Probationary Inspector (PI), which included initial screening (height and weight measurement and eyesight test) and scheduling of written examination, and to applicants for the post of Recruit Police Constable (RPC) with initial screening and group interview.
There were also four sessions of experience sharing for applicants to acquire general information on selection process and to understand the challenges of police work.
The recruitment target for the financial year 2013/2014 is about 1 200 police officers, including over 200 PIs and 990 RPCs. As at July 28, 45 PIs and 390 RPCs have been recruited.
