Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

     Police today (July 23) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po on July 9 in which a 38-year-old man died.

     At about 6.10pm on that day, a 30-year-old man was riding a motorcycle along Tai Po Road towards southeast. When approaching Nam Cheong Street, it reportedly knocked down the 38-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 8.21pm on July 13. The motorcyclist also sustained head injuries and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious condition.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
