Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange (Tuen Mun bound) to be commissioned on July 27

     The Transport Department (TD) announced today (July 23) that the Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange (Tuen Mun bound) (BBI) located near Tai Lam Kok in Tuen Mun will be commissioned on July 27, 2013 (Saturday).

     The BBI provides a convenient interchange facility for residents in Tuen Mun/Yuen Long and along Castle Peak Road. Bus passengers can interchange bus services at the BBI and travel to Tuen Mun or Yuen Long Districts.

     A total of nine short-haul and seven long-haul bus routes will start calling at the BBI upon its commissioning.

     These routes are:

(I) Short-haul
* 53 (Yuen Long (East) - Tsuen Wan West Station Public Transport Interchange)
* 57M (Shan King Estate - Lai King (North))
* 58M/58P (Leung King Estate/Tin King Estate - Kwai Fong Station)
* 59M (Tuen Mun Pier Head - Tsuen Wan Station)
* 60M (Tuen Mun Central - Tsuen Wan Station)
* 61M (Yau Oi (South) - Lai King (North))
* 66M/66P (Tai Hing - Tsuen Wan Station)
* 67M (Siu Hong Court - Kwai Fong Station)
* 68A (Long Ping Estate - Tsing Yi Station)

(II)  Long-haul
* 52X (Tuen Mun Central - Mong Kok (Park Avenue))
* 60X (Tuen Mun Central - Jordan (To Wah Road))
* 61X (Tuen Mun Station - Kowloon City Ferry)
* 259D (Lung Mun Oasis - Yau Tong)
* 260X (Po Tin - Hung Hom Station)
* 263 (Tuen Mun Station - Sha Tin Station)
* E33 (Tuen Mun Central - Airport (Ground Transportation Centre))

     More routes will be diverted to call at the BBI in August and September.

     Passengers heading towards Tuen Mun or Yuen Long by making interchange at the BBI will enjoy free interchange or only be charged the fare difference between the routes concerned. The bus companies have provided bus route information at the BBI to advise passengers of the bus interchange arrangements.
