The Education Bureau (EDB) will hold a seminar on August 22 to enhance parents' understanding of Pre-primary Education and its curriculum objectives, as well as to help them establish a right attitude in nurturing their kids.
An EDB spokesman said today (July 22), "Speakers will brief parents on the child-centered curriculum and its implementation at kindergarten level, and the impact of undue pressure on children's development.
"The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese with a question-and-answer session."
The seminar will be held from 7pm to 9pm on August 22 in the Lecture Theatre, 4/F, West Block, Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Parents with children studying in kindergartens are welcome to attend the seminar. Registration will start tomorrow (July 23) and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Details are available on the EDB website (www.edb.gov.hk/parentstalks).
