Police will implement special traffic arrangements on July 23 (Tuesday), July 24 (Wednesday) and July 27 (Saturday) to facilitate the holding of soccer training and matches at the Hong Kong Stadium.
The following arrangements will be implemented from 4pm or as necessary.
Phase I
-------
A. Traffic diversion
1. A section of Caroline Hill Road between its western junction with Leighton Road and Stadium Path will be re-routed one-way southbound (an anti-clockwise system); and
2. A section of Eastern Hospital Road between Stadium Path and Tung Lo Wan Road will be re-routed one-way northbound (an anti-clockwise system).
B. Road closure
A section of Caroline Hill Road between Cotton Path and Leighton Road/Pennington Street will be closed (except for vehicles to St. Paul's Hospital when Tung Lo Wan Road is closed).
C. Passenger alighting arrangements
1. The drop-off zone for taxis will be at the southern kerbside of Eastern Hospital Road at the eastern side of the Hong Kong Stadium main entrance; and
2. The drop-off zone for private cars will be at the northern kerbside of Eastern Hospital Road at the eastern side of the Hong Kong Stadium. Private cars are not allowed to drop off outside the main entrance of the Hong Kong Stadium.
Phase II
--------
A. Traffic diversion
1. Same as Phase I
2. Traffic cones will be laid on a section of Caroline Hill Road between Leighton Road and Link Road to allow two lanes of traffic entering Caroline Hill Road from Hoi Ping Road;
3. Traffic from northbound Link Road downhill to northbound Caroline Hill Road must turn left to westbound Leighton Road;
4. A section of Hysan Avenue between Leighton Road and Hoi Ping Road will be re-routed one-way eastbound;
5. Traffic cones will be laid on eastbound Hysan Avenue to facilitate two lanes of traffic to turn right to Hoi Ping Road;
6. Traffic on westbound Hysan Avenue between Yun Ping Road and Sunning Road must turn left to Sunning Road;
7. Vehicles leaving the Lee Gardens must turn left to Hysan Avenue; and
8. Depending on traffic situation, a section of Lee Garden Road between Foo Ming Street and Lan Fong Road may be re-routed one-way northbound. Vehicular traffic at Lan Fong Road must turn right to northbound Lee Garden Road and then to southbound Percival Street via Foo Ming Street.
B. Road closure
1. Same as Phase IˇF and
2. A section of westbound Hysan Revenue between Hoi Ping Road and Sunning Road.
C. Passenger alighting arrangements
1. Same as Phase I.
Phase III
---------
A. Traffic diversion
1. Same as Phase IIˇFand
2. All vehicles heading for the Hong Kong Stadium may be permitted to turn right from the offside lane of eastbound Leighton Road to Caroline Hill Road.
B. Road closure
1. Same as Phase II.
C. Passenger alighting arrangements
1. Same as Phase II.
The following measures will be implemented from 8.30pm on July 23 and 10pm on July 24 and 27 or as necessary:
1. Caroline Hill Road will be closed to all traffic;
2. A section of Eastern Hospital Road between Caroline Hill Road and Cotton Path and its service road near Buddhist Wong Fung Ling College will be closed to all traffic;
3. Cotton Path will be closed to all traffic;
4. Vehicles on Leighton Road will be banned from entering Caroline Hill Road for Link Road;
5. If necessary, consideration may be given to closing the whole of Leighton Road. In such cases, westbound traffic from Causeway Road will be directed to Irving Street. Eastbound traffic from Morrison Hill Road will be diverted via Canal Road West. Southbound traffic from Percival Street must turn right to westbound Leighton Road and southbound traffic from Canal Road East will be banned from turning left to Leighton Road;
6. Northbound Link Road downhill will be closed if necessary, except for vehicles heading for Link Road No. 1A, 3, 5 and 7; and
7. Hoi Ping Road will be closed.
Learner drivers prohibition

The following roads will be prohibited to learner drivers between 3pm and 10pm on July 23 and between 3pm and 11.59pm on July 24 and 27 :
(a) Leighton Road;
(b) Hysan Avenue;
(c) Percival Street south of Hennessy Road;
(d) Caroline Hill Road;
(e) Link Road;
(f) Stadium Path;
(g) Cotton Path;
(h) Eastern Hospital Road; and
(i) Eastern Hospital Road service road.
In addition, learner drivers will be prohibited to enter Tung Lo Wan Road from Causeway Road.
Parking spaces
--------------
All on-street parking spaces on the following paths/ roads will be suspended between 3pm and 10pm on July 23 and between 3pm and 11.59pm on July 24 and 27:
(a) Stadium Path;
(b) A section of northbound Caroline Hill Road between Stadium Path and Cotton Path; and
(c) Hoi Ping Road (including disabled parking spaces).
Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above might be towed away without prior notice.
Vehicles will not be permitted to enter or leave car parks within the closed areas (Caroline Hill Road, Eastern Hospital Road, Stadium Path, and Tung Lo Wan Road between Cotton Path and Causeway Road) during the road closure periods.
