Civic Education Exhibition to be held at Hong Kong Book Fair

The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education:

     Members of the public are invited to visit the Civic Education Exhibition 2013 to be held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2013 (Booth 3B-C38, Children's Paradise). The exhibition will be open from tomorrow (July 17) to July 23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

     Jointly organised by the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE) and the Home Affairs Bureau annually, the exhibition is an event under "Hip Hong Kong" of the "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign. This year's exhibition will focus on promoting the civic values of respect and inclusiveness, responsibility and love. It will feature information on civic education as well as a wide range of materials and publications produced by the CPCE, the Education Bureau and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. Visitors can take part in interactive family games and receive souvenirs at the booth.

     A ceremony for the exhibition will be held at 1pm on Friday (July 19) at the stage in Children's Paradise. Apart from featuring a singing performance by ethnic minorities and an African drum and dance performance, the ceremony will include TV artist Miss Corinna Chamberlain performing and sharing with participants her views on civic values such as respect and inclusiveness.
