Oil spill incident in waters off Wong Chuk Kok of Lamma Island

A spokesman for the Marine Department said today (July 13) that an oil slick covering approximately 100 metres x 10 metres was found in waters off Wong Chuk Kok of Lamma Island at around 11.15am this morning and the Marine Department has tasked its staff to clean up. The Marine Department has alerted relevant departments the oil spill. It will follow up on the source of the oil slick and will collect oil sample for analysis by the Government Laboratory.
