The Government today (July 12) announced the re-appointment of Professor Kenneth Young as Chairperson of the Curriculum Development Council for a term of two years from September 1.
Also appointed to the Council as new members are Mr Vincent Luk, Dr Pang Ming-fai, Professor Tam Kar-yan and Ms Enian Tsang.
In addition, 17 serving members, Ms Chan Hoi-yan, Mr Chan Tsze-ying, Mr Chan Wing-keung, Professor Hau Kit-tai, Ms Hau Sze-man, Mr Ho Chu-ping, Ms Ho Lan-sang, Ms Annie Ho Siu-wah, Mr Ben Ho Siu-yu, Professor Lee Chi-kin, Mr Lin Man-sheung, Mr Gerry Ma Kwai-yung, Ms Helen Shi Mei-fong, Mrs Anne Tam Leung Yen-ying, Ms Tso Mei-kuen, Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui and Ms Stella Yeung Po-wah have been re-appointed.
The Secretary for Education, Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, thanked the outgoing members for their contributions to the Council. They are Dr Carol Chan, Professor Chow Kwok-ching, Mr Lai Kam-tong and Ms Lucy Poon Siu-lan.
The Council advises the Government on all matters relating to curriculum development for the local school system from kindergarten to senior secondary education.
All appointments are for a period of two years with effect from September 1, 2013. The full list of membership is as follows:
