Tenders awarded for two residential sites

     The Lands Department today (July 10) announced that the tenders for two residential sites have been awarded on 50-year land grants at a total premium of $3,764.3 million.

     Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 126 in Area 68B2, Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, was awarded to Precise Treasure Limited (parent company: Wheelock Properties Limited) at $3,670.8 million. Lot No. 750 in Demarcation District No. 332 at South Lantau Road, Cheung Sha, Lantau Island, New Territories, was awarded to Dawn Rider Limited (parent company: John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited) at $93.5 million.

     "Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in respect of each lot in alphabetical order with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets were:

     Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 126 has a site area of about 27 421 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station) purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 47 713 sq m and 79 521 sq m respectively, of which not less than 39 486 sq m and not exceeding 65 810 sq m are for private residential purposes. The total number of residential units to be built shall not be less than 875.

     Lot No. 750 in Demarcation District No. 332 has a site area of about 1 438.2 sq m and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 346 sq m and 575.2 sq m respectively.
