Over 100 courses, ranging from Chinese and Western musical instrument classes to diverse music workshops, offer interesting choices for applicants of different ages.      The newly launched course, "Introduction to Ocarina Playing", caters for those who are aged 15 or above to learn about the instrument, including its structure, playing styles and techniques. Those who have completed the Music Office's "Outreach Foundation II" of woodwind instrument classes, and are aged 15 or above, can participate in another new course, "Woodwind Ensemble Training", to learn about and enjoy the fun of playing music in groups.

Other regular workshop series include early childhood music education, guitar and keyboard playing, vocal singing, aural training, music theory and ensemble playing for Chinese musical instruments, Western strings and saxophone. All are available for different age groups. The course fees for the workshop series range from $252 to $630.

The Outreach Music Interest Courses also provide basic training on the xiao, dizi, liuyeqin, pipa, zhong-ruan, yangqin, zheng, erhu, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, percussion (glockenspiel and practice pad), violin, viola and cello. The course fee is $840.
