Police today (July 7) holding charged a 41-year-old woman with one count of attempted murder. The case will be heard in Eastern Magistrates' Courts in her absence tomorrow (July 8).
Police received a report on July 5 that a woman had committed suicide inside a unit in Hing Wah Estate, Chai Wan. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 41-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son inside the unit where a basin with burnt charcoal was found on the floor. The duo was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for medical treatment.
The woman was arrested yesterday (July 6) in suspected connection with the case.
