Police today (July 6) arrested a 41-year-old woman in connection with an attempted murder and attempted suicide case in Chai Wan yesterday (July 5).
At 10.54pm last night, Police received a report that a woman had committed suicide inside a unit in Hing Wah Estate. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 41-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son inside the unit where a basin with burnt charcoal was found on the floor. The duo was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for medical treatment.
The woman was arrested for attempted murder this evening (July 6) and she is being detained for further enquiries.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Eastern District are under way.
