Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kwai Chung this (July 6) morning in which a 75-year-old man died.
About 9.50am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling along Hing Fong Road towards Tsing Yi. When reaching near Kwai Hei House, it reportedly collided with the 75-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious injuries to his head, the pedestrian was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 10.13am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
