Police are investigating an attempted murder and attempted suicide case in Chai Wan yesterday (July 5).
At about 10.54pm last night, Police received report that a woman had committed suicide inside a unit at Hing Wah Estate. Police sped to scene and located the woman and her nine-year-old son inside the unit where burnt charcoal was found. They were rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in semi-conscious state for medical treatment.
Initial investigation revealed that the woman attempted to kill herself and the boy by burning charcoal inside the unit.
Active investigations by Eastern District Crime Squad are underway.
