The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) today (July 5) invited tenders for the contract for the viaduct and tunnel works of the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point (BCP).
The works mainly comprise construction of:
* a dual two-lane trunk road linking up the proposed BCP and Sha Tau Kok Road interchange, which consists of approximately 3.3 kilometres of viaduct, 0.6 kilometres of at-grade roads and a 0.7-kilometre vehicular tunnel;
* a sewage treatment plant; and
* associated works.
The works are scheduled to commence in March 2014 for completion in January 2018.
The CEDD has commissioned AECOM Asia Company Limited (AECOM) to design and supervise the works. Interested contractors may obtain the tender forms and other particulars from AECOM at 8/F, Tower 2, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The closing time for the tender is noon on September 13. Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box at G/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar.
