The Land Registry today (July 4) released the following statistics for the first half of 2013.
Land registration
-----------------
* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2013 was 39,077 (-35.6 per cent compared with the second half of 2012 and -28.7 per cent compared with the first half of 2012).
* The total consideration for these agreements for the first half of 2013 was $247.47 billion (-28 per cent compared with the second half of 2012 and -20.2 per cent compared with the first half of 2012).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2013 was 58,323 (-13.5 per cent compared with the second half of 2012 but +14.8 per cent compared with the first half of 2012).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2013 was $322.95 billion (-10.7 per cent compared with the second half of 2012 but +42.6 per cent compared with the first half of 2012).
Land search

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2013 was 2,340,896 (-11.9 per cent compared with the second half of 2012 and -4.7 per cent compared with the first half of 2012).
