The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene conducted a second site visit to three public markets today (June 25) to have a better understanding of the difficulties faced by public market stall tenants.
Accompanied by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, members of the Panel visited Tang Lung Chau Market, Java Road Market and Cooked Food Centre as well as Aldrich Bay Market and Cooked Food Centre respectively. They toured the market stalls and talked to stall tenants to get to know more about their business environment.
Members participating in the site visit included the Chairman of the Panel, Mr Alan Leong, and other Panel members, Mr Tommy Cheung, Mr Wong Kwok-hing and Mr Chan Chi-chuen.
