SED to address international student seminar in Singapore

     The Secretary for Education (SED), Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, will depart for Singapore tomorrow (June 25) to address an international student seminar hosted by Singapore's Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in collaboration with Hong Kong's Vocational Training Council (VTC).

     Upon the invitation of the VTC Chairman, Mr Clement Chen, Mr Ng will officiate and deliver a speech to some 1,000 participants at the closing ceremony of the ITE-VTC International Student Seminar 2013.

     The Seminar will provide a platform for students from around the world, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Germany, to discuss current issues related to developments around the globe.

     Mr Ng will also attend gatherings with students from both the Institute and the VTC at ITE College Central.

     The SED will return to Hong Kong on June 26. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung, will be the Acting SED.
