The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Governor of Hunan Province, Mr Du Jiahao, at Government House this afternoon (June 19) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung welcomed the visit by Mr Du to attend the Hunan (Hong Kong) Investment and Trade Promotion Week. He pointed out that Hong Kong has a large pool of talents and rich management experience in financial and service sectors and could assist Hunan in attracting investors.
Mr Leung said that economic ties between Hong Kong and Hunan have grown closer under the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA). He said he hopes that Hunan could continue to put into implementation the various measures under CEPA so that the two places could achieve mutually beneficial results.
