Police today (June 18) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O this afternoon in which a 78-year-old woman died.
About 1.48pm, a rubbish truck driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along Mau Tai Road. When entering a school on No. 8 Mau Tai Road, it reportedly knocked down the 78-year-old woman.
Sustaining serious injuries to her lower body, the woman was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was later certified dead at 3.08pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
