"Ambulance Pioneers on-car attachment Scheme" amended
*****************************************************

In response to media enquiries concerning the "Ambulance Pioneers on-car attachment Scheme", a spokesman for the Fire Services Department (FSD) made the following response today (June 18):

"Having considered the views expressed by members of the public about the 'Ambulance Pioneers on-car attachment Scheme', the FSD has decided to conduct the Scheme in the form of an experience camp instead of on-car attachment. It is believed that the new approach will achieve the objectives set for the original Scheme to enable teenage members of uniformed groups to better understand the ambulance service, and to interact and exchange knowledge with other uniformed peers."
