The new Household Application Form and Individual Application Form for the Work Incentive Transport Subsidy (WITS) Scheme of the Labour Department (LD) are now available at more than 70 distribution outlets territory-wide.
From the claim months of 2013, the WITS Scheme provides the option of individual application as an alternative to household application. The income and asset limits for WITS have also been raised in parallel. Individual-based applicants may apply next month (July) at the earliest for subsidy from January to June this year, or apply later for a longer period of subsidy not exceeding 12 months.
Individual-based applicants should submit the Individual Application Form, while household-based applicants should submit one Household Application Form for each household. The distribution outlets for the application forms include Job Centres, the Headquarters and the WITS Division of the LD, Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department, and Social Security Field Units of the Social Welfare Department. Members of the public may also download the application forms from the LD's homepage.
