Progress of banking complaint cases of the HKMA

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:

     The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today (June 14) the progress of its banking complaint cases at the end of May 2013. These cases include customer complaints about banking products or services as well as other cases referred by our banking departments and other regulators.

     In May 2013, 95 cases were received and 139 cases were completed. As at end May, the handling of 1,226 cases was in progress.  

     A table summarising the progress of the banking complaint cases is attached.
