The Legislative Council Commission has nominated Mr Kenneth Leung and Dr Elizabeth Quat to attend the 62nd Westminster Seminar on Parliamentary Practice and Procedure and the 3rd Westminster Workshop: The Public Accounts Committee, which will take place at the Houses of Parliament, London, United Kingdom from June 17 to 21 and June 24 to 27 respectively.
The 62nd Westminster Seminar on Parliamentary Practice and Procedure aims at exploring parliamentary practice and procedure within a Westminster-style framework in order to enhance the capacity of participating parliamentarians and clerks, while the aim of the 3rd Westminster Workshop: The Public Accounts Committee is to explore the key features of an effective Public Accounts Committee – with a particular focus on small legislatures – in order to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of delegates in their work related to the Committee.
Assistant Secretary General of the Legislative Council Secretariat, Miss Odelia Leung, will also attend the Seminar and Workshop with the two Members.
