Fatal traffic accident in Castle Peak

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Castle Peak last night (June 13) in which a 31-year-old man was killed.

     About 11.10pm yesterday, a private car driven by the 31-year-old man was travelling along Tuen Mun Road towards Tuen Mun. When approaching near Siu Lam, it reportedly lost control and rammed into some water barriers and a lamppost on the roadside.

     After the impact, the driver was trapped inside the compartment and was rescued by firemen. He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state, where the he was certified dead at 0.28am today (June 14).

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are underway.
