The President of the Legislative Council, Mr Jasper Tsang, continued his visit to London yesterday (June 12, London time) by calling on the Speaker of the House of Commons.
During the third day of his visit to the Parliament of the United Kingdom, Mr Tsang met with the Speaker of the House of Commons, Mr John Bercow, to exchange views on parliamentary developments in recent years. He also attended the Speaker's briefing on the business of the House and a dinner hosted by Mr Bercow. In addition, Mr Tsang took the opportunity to observe the proceedings of the Prime Minister's Question Time and speak at Chatham House, an independent think tank, on Hong Kong's road to democracy.
Mr Tsang is continuing his visit to London today (June 13, London time) to meet with the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State and speak at the Hong Kong Association and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
