The President of the Legislative Council (LegCo), Mr Jasper Tsang, continued his visit to the United Kingdom (UK) Parliament on June 11 (London time).
On the second day of his visit, Mr Tsang called on the Lord Speaker, Baroness D'Souza, to exchange views on issues of mutual interest. He then met with the Clerk of the Parliaments, House of Lords and the Clerk of the House of Commons.
Mr Tsang also observed the proceedings of meetings of the Select Committee and the Backbench Business Committee and met with the Secretary to the House of Commons Commission to learn more about the governance and administration of the House of Commons.
He will continue his visit to London today (June 12, London time) to meet with the Speaker of the House of Commons, Mr John Bercow, and speak at Chatham House. He will also take the opportunity to observe the proceedings of the Prime Minister Question Time in the House of Commons.
