The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, congratulated the country on the successful launch of Shenzhou-10 spacecraft today (June 11).
"This flight mission will break a number of records in our nation's space exploration history. Besides flying the longest time, the spacecraft will circumnavigate Tiangong-1 for the very first time. The second female astronaut of our country, Ms Wang Yaping, will also give a lecture in space to a group of primary and secondary school students, which is the first time in history and is of symbolic significance," Mr Leung said.
Mr Leung wishes the nation's space programme every success and looks forward to the victorious return of Shenzhou-10 spacecraft.
