The Hospital Authority (HA) has announced the return of Ho Tung Dispensary, one of its general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, to the Government with effect from today (June 11). The clinic had earlier been classified as a Grade 2 Historic Building.
According to the HA spokesman, the services of Ho Tung Dispensary had been suspended since the collapse of roof tiles in July 2005. The building was later confirmed by the Architectural Services Department as structurally not fit for operation. Since then, the services had been reprovisioned to the nearby clinics to meet the primary health-care needs of residents. General out-patient services in the district have remained normal.
Following the return of the clinic building to the Government, the total number of GOPCs under the HA will be 73. Members of the public who need to attend GOPC services in North District can approach the following clinics for appointments:

* Shek Wu Hui Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
* Sha Tau Kok General Out-patient Clinic
* Fanling Family Medicine Centre
