The following is issued on behalf of the Judiciary:
The Judiciary today (June 10) announced the appointment of Mr Lawrence Pang Ho-chuen as Member of the Lands Tribunal. The appointment will take effect from June 11, 2013.
The appointment is made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission.
Further judicial appointments will be announced in due course.
The biographical note of Mr Pang is as follows:
Mr Lawrence Pang Ho-chuen was born in Hong Kong in 1957. He obtained an Advanced Higher Diploma in General Practice Surveying from the then Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1981. He further acquired a Master Degree in Business Administration in Finance from the California State University, the US, in 2001 and a Master Degree in Science in Finance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003. He became a Professional Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an Associate of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, both in 1984. He was elected a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors in 1991 and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1992. He became a Chartered Financial Analyst of the Association for Investment Management and Research in 2002. He was in private practice in surveying since 1984.
