In response to media enquiries, a spokesman for the Department of Health (DH) said today (June 6) that the DH is assisting the Police in their investigation into a case of improper reimbursement claims involving a Chinese medicine practitioner enrolled in the Health Care Voucher Scheme (HCVS).
The spokesman said that the matter has been referred to the Police. The Chinese medicine practitioner was removed from the list of participating healthcare professionals of the HCVS.
The spokesman reminded elderly people to be aware of the number of vouchers used during each transaction as well as the voucher balance in their eHealth account for their own sake.
