Seizure of unauthorised article from inmate

Correctional Services officers seized an unauthorised article from a newly admitted inmate at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre yesterday (May 31).
During a security check upon admission, officers found an unauthorised article, an earring with a piece of round-shaped crystal-like object from the 40-year-old newly admitted male inmate at about 7.10pm.
The case has been reported to the Police for further investigation.
The inmate was convicted for an offence of possession for sale of forged trademark goods.
