The arts fun fairs organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) have always been well received by park visitors. Starting from this Sunday (June 2), the new phase of the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park will commence operation at the Loggia of the park, where members of the public can enjoy a wide array of interesting handicrafts and arts services stalls while visiting the park.

A spokesman for the department said that the Arts Fun Fair aimed to help enhance public interest in arts and arts appreciation, thereby cultivating the arts culture in Hong Kong. It also makes the park more appealing and enjoyable for visitors.

There are 30 handicrafts and arts services stalls operating in the new phase of the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park. Besides displaying and selling various kinds of handicrafts and artistic works such as pottery, carving, dough models, floral artworks, paper craftworks, cloth artworks, clay works and ornaments, stall holders will also provide cultural and arts services such as painting, calligraphy, silhouette cutting, sketching and photography.

The Kowloon Park Arts Fun Fair will be open every Sunday and public holiday between 1pm and 7pm from this Sunday until May 31 next year at the Loggia of the park, where members of the public can enjoy looking for their favourite handicrafts or artworks.

"This is the 15th phase of the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park and the event has been welcomed by the general public. Besides stopping over at the Fair, other specialised facilities in the park like the Sculpture Walk and Sculpture Garden, Discovery Garden and Maze Garden also win the hearts of visitors. This is a marvelous weekend event that shouldn't be missed," the spokesman said.

Apart from Kowloon Park, the LCSD also sets up fun fairs at Hong Kong Park and Victoria Park.

"Arts Corner" at Hong Kong Park is set up in the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from now onwards until December 31 this year. "Arts Corner" at the South Pavilion Plaza of Victoria Park is open from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until March 31 next year, and is suspended when there are major events in the park.
