The Legislative Council (LegCo) Secretariat today (May 30) launched the Fifth LegCo Teaching Kit (Teaching Kit) for primary and secondary schools.
A spokesman for the LegCo Secretariat said that the Teaching Kit was developed to provide up-to-date teaching resources to teachers to facilitate their teaching about the work of LegCo and its Members.
"The Teaching Kit has two versions targeting at primary schools and secondary schools respectively. It consists of a variety of items, including posters, lesson plans, leaflets and a board game introducing the work of LegCo. Items that are tailor-made to meet the specific needs and interests of primary and secondary students are also included in the Teaching Kit, such as a cartoon booklet on 'Learning about the Legislative Council' in the primary school version and a pamphlet on 'Historical Development of the Legislature' in the secondary school version," the spokesman added.
Each school is invited to collect two complimentary sets of the Teaching Kit at the LegCo Complex from now on till November 30, 2013.
