The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
The spokesperson of Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) today (May 29) announced the composition of the investigation panel for a sentinel event which happened on May 26.
PMH is very concerned about the incident and has referred the case to the Coroner. An investigation panel has been set up to investigate and review thoroughly the incident, and will make improvement recommendations to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.

The investigation panel will complete the investigation within eight weeks. The report with recommendations will be submitted to the Kowloon West Cluster and the Hospital Authority Head Office. PMH will also explain the report to the patient's family in detail.
