The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene conducted a site visit to three public markets today (May 28) to have a better understanding of the difficulties faced by public market stall tenants.
Accompanied by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, Members of the Panel visited the markets and cooked food centres located in Fa Yuen Street, Kowloon City and Ngau Tau Kok respectively. They toured the dry and wet stalls as well as the cooked food centres to get to know the business environment and difficulties faced by stall tenants.
Members participating the site visit included Chairman of the Panel, Mr Alan Leong, and other members, Mr Tommy Cheung, Mr Wong Kwok-hing, Mr Wong Yuk-man and Ms Claudia Mo.
