Contractor fined for violation of safety rule

Big Success Engineering Limited was fined $31,000 at Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (May 24) for violation of the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.
The case involved a fatal accident that occurred in Aberdeen on July 14 last year, in which a scaffolder fell to his death from 15/F to 1/F of an industrial building while he was erecting a truss-out bamboo scaffold at its external wall.
