The Highways Department (HyD) today (May 24) invited tenders for the tunnel buildings, systems and fittings, and works associated with tunnel commissioning contract for Central-Wan Chai Bypass (Contract No. HY/2011/08).
The works are expected to commence in February next year for completion in 2017. The works mainly comprise:
(i) Road pavement, traffic signage and road markings, tunnel cladding and ceiling finishes, and landscape works; and
(ii) Superstructures of Central-Wan Chai Bypass tunnel buildings (West Ventilation Building, Middle Ventilation Building, East Ventilation Building, East Vent Shaft, Administration Building, Satellite Control Building and Satellite Control Points); and
(iii) Tunnel ventilation system, traffic control and surveillance system, fire services system, building services system and associated electrical and mechanical works.
The Major Works Project Management Office of the HyD has appointed AECOM Asia Company Limited to design and supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the tender forms and other particulars from AECOM Asia Company Limited on 8/F, Grand Central Plaza, Tower 2, 138 Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat Tender Box located at lobby of the Public Entrance on the Ground Floor, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. Submission of tenders will close at noon on August 2, 2013 (Friday).
