Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi this afternoon (May 23) in which a 44-year-old man died.
About 12.50pm, a 44-year-old man was starting the engine next to the driverˇ¦s seat of a medium good vehicle (MGV) at a car park on Cheung Tat Road. The MGV reportedly moved forward suddenly and its door struck against a wall on the right side, leaving the MGV driver trapped between the door and the body of the MGV.
Sustaining serious injuries, the male driver was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state. He was later certified dead at 1.35pm.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
