Following is the statement made by the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Legislative Council (LegCo), Mr Abraham Shek, today (May 14) on the public hearing of Director of Audit's Report No.60 in respect of Chapter 7 "Preventive education and enlisting public support against corruption":
The LegCo PAC will hold a public hearing on the captioned chapter of the Director of Audit's Report No.60 this Saturday (May 18) at 9am in Conference Room 3 of the LegCo Complex. PAC has invited the Commissioner, Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Mr Simon Peh, and the Former Commissioner, ICAC, Mr Timothy Tong to appear before the Committee on the captioned public hearing to respond to points raised in the Report and answer questions asked by members of the Committee.
