The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, will visit Singapore from tomorrow (May 13) to May 15 to learn more about its latest developments in housing and transport and to exchange views with officials on related issues.
In addition to meeting Singapore's Minister for National Development, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, and Minister for Transport, Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Professor Cheung will visit the Housing & Development Board, the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Land Transport Authority. He will also visit a Mass Rapid Transit-Bus service interchange, the Port Operations Control Centre, the Singapore Aviation Academy and Changi Airport.
Professor Cheung will pay a courtesy call on the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Singapore, Mr Duan Jielong, and will meet with some Hong Kong people working in Singapore to better understand their everyday life and working conditions.
Deputy Secretaries for Transport and Housing (Transport) Mr Andy Chan and Ms Julina Chan, and Deputy Director of Housing (Development and Construction) Ms Ada Fung, will accompany Professor Cheung on the visit.
Professor Cheung will return to Hong Kong on May 15.
