Progress of banking complaint cases of the HKMA

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:

     The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today (May 10) the progress of its banking complaint cases at the end of April 2013.  These cases include customer complaints about banking products or services as well as other cases referred by our banking departments and other regulators.

     In April 2013, 84 cases were received and 88 cases were completed.  As at end April, the handling of 1 270 cases was in progress.  

     A table summarising the progress of the banking complaint cases is attached.
