Hongkong Post today (May 6) announced that a set of eight postage prepaid postcards featuring animals in Ocean Park Hong Kong's new theme area, "Polar Adventure", will be released for sale on May 10 (Friday). The new postcards are specially designed for customers to send personal messages to friends and relatives anywhere.
The new postcard series features eight lovely animals housed in the Park's "Polar Adventure" theme area, namely the arctic fox, gentoo penguin, king penguin, northern sea lion, Pacific walrus, snowy owl, southern rockhopper penguin and spotted seal. These postcards, which carry airmail postage, can be sent to all destinations.
A new Postage Prepaid Postcard Prestige Gift Set - Funny Marine Life and Animals, featuring a wide range of animals and marine creatures in the care of Ocean Park Hong Kong, will also be launched for sale. The gift set contains 25 postcards from the new Polar Adventure series and the three sets of postcards issued previously - Jellyfish (issued on June 12, 2008), Giant Pandas (issued on July 1, 2008) and Amazing Asian Animals (issued on April 30, 2010).
The new set of postage prepaid postcards at $40 each and the gift set at $125 each will be sold at 38 philatelic offices as well as Causeway Bay Post Office, Discovery Bay Post Office, Lamma Post Office, Repulse Bay Post Office, Stanley Post Office and Tung Chung Post Office from May 10.
