Murder in Sheung Shui

     Police are investigating a murder case in Sheung Shui today (April 28) in which a 30-year-old man was killed.

     At about 12.55pm, Police received a report that the 30-year-old man was attacked and injured on Po King Road.

     Police officers sped to the scene and found the man lying unconscious on the ground. Sustaining multiple cut wounds on his body, the man was rushed to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.32pm.

     Initial investigations revealed that the deceased was attacked by two men in dark colour masks with axe and knife respectively. The two men then fled away in a private car which was travelling towards Fan Kam Road. Police seized an axe at the scene.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of the man's death.

     Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are under way.
