Special traffic arrangements for Tin Hau Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Tseung Kwan O, Tai Po, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long to facilitate the celebration of Tin Hau Festival.
     
Tseung Kwan O
-------------
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8am to 6pm daily on April 27 and 28, and from 7am on May 1 to 5pm the following day:

(A) Road closure
     Tai Au Mun Road between Clear Water Bay Second Beach car park and Po Toi O Chuen Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic, except for access to Po Toi O Chuen, Tin Hau Temple and The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club.

(B) Suspension of parking spaces
     A total of 49 parking spaces at the Clear Water Bay Second Beach car park, four metered parking spaces at Tai Au Mun Road near Po Toi O Chuen Road, and 10 parking spaces near The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club entrance will be suspended.

Tai Po
------
     The following roads will be closed from 1pm to 4.30pm on April 28:
(1) Southbound Ting Kok Road between Ting Tai Road and Tai Po Tai Wo Road;
(2) Eastbound Tai Po Tai Wo Road between Ting Kok Road and On Cheung Road;
(3) Northbound Po Heung Bridge;
(4) Westbound Plover Cove Road between Po Heung Street and Tung Mau Square;
(5) Po Heung Street between Plover Cove Road and Nam Shing Street; and
(6) Kwong Fuk Road between On Fu Road and Wan Tau Street.

     The following taxi pick up and drop off point and public light bus (PLB) stand will be suspended from 1pm to 4.30pm on April 28:
(1) Taxi pick up and drop off point outside No.76 Po Heung Street; and
(2) PLB stand at Po Heung Square. The stop for PLB to Sheung Shui will be relocated to metered parking spaces outside No.19 Po Yick Street.

     All metered parking spaces at Po Heung Square and the two metered parking spaces outside No.19 Po Yick Street will be suspended to all but emergency vehicles from 8pm on April 27 to 4.30pm the following day.

Kowloon City
------------
     A procession will depart at 10.30am on May 1 from Argyle Street Playground and return to the same place via westbound Argyle Street, northbound Stirling Road, westbound Prince Edward Road West, northbound Junction Road, eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road, northbound Fuk Lo Tsun Road, eastbound Carpenter Road, southbound Lion Rock Road, eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road, northbound Hau Wong Road, eastbound Carpenter Road, southbound Nga Tsin Long Road, eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road, northbound Nam Kok Road, eastbound Carpenter Road, southbound South Wall Road, westbound Nga Tsin Wai Road, northbound Lung Kong Road, eastbound Carpenter Road, southbound South Wall Road, eastbound Nga Tsin Wai Road, northbound Tak Ku Ling Road, westbound Carpenter Road, southbound Junction Road, eastbound Prince Edward Road West, southbound Stirling Road and eastbound Argyle Street. Police will implement traffic control along the procession route.

Kwun Tong
---------
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8am to 5pm on May 2:
(1) Eastbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be closed;
(2) Westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be converted to eastbound; and
(3) Vehicles coming from Yau Tong areas along westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road will be diverted to northbound Yau Tong Road towards Lei Yue Mun Road.

Tuen Mun
--------
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun on May 2:

(A) Road closure (except for vehicles permitted by Police on site)

From 8am to 6pm:
(1) Tin Hau Road between Pui To Road and Yip Wong Road;
(2) Hung Cheung Road between its southern junction with San Ping Circuit and Tin Hau Road;
(3) Southbound Hung Cheung Road between its northern and southern junctions with San Ping Circuit;
(4) Hing Wong Street between its junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
(5) San On Street between its junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction; and
(6) Cycle track along the western riverside of Tuen Mun River Channel between Pui To Road and Yau Oi Bridge.

     The following roads will be intermittently closed:

From 10am to 3pm:
(1) Southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between with Pui To Road and Castle Peak Road (San Hui);
(2) Westbound Pui To Road between Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and Tin Hau Road;
(3) Nouthbound Castle Peak Road (San Hui) between San Sau Street and San Hui Path; and
(4) Westbound Yan Ching Street between Tak Ching Court and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road.

From 10am to 5pm:
(1) Tsing Yin Street between Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and San Tsing Street;
(2) San Tsing Street; and
(3) Westbound Ho Pong Street between San Tsing Street and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road.

From 1pm to 5pm:
(1) Ho Pong Street between Pui To Road and Tsing Yin Street;
(2) Tsing Yin Street between Ho Pong Street and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road;
(3) Eastbound Pui To Road between Tsun Wen Road and Castle Peak Road (San Hui); and
(4) Northbound Castle Peak Road (San Hui) between Pui To Road and San Sau Street.

(B) Traffic control (except for vehicles permitted by Police on site)

From 10am to 3pm:
(1) Traffic from Pui To Road cannot turn to Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road; and
(2) Traffic from Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road cannot turn to eastbound Yan Ching Street.

From 1pm to 5pm:
     Traffic on Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road cannot turn to eastbound Tsing Yin Street.

Yuen Long
---------
(A) Road closure
     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 7.45am on May 2:
(1) Po Yip Street between Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long On Lok Road;
(2) Yuen Long On Lok Road between Po Yip Street and Wang Chau Road;
(3) Wang Chau Road;
(4) Yuen Long On Ning Road between Wang Chau Road and Ma Miu Road; and
(5) Ma Miu Road.

     The following roads will be closed on May 2:

From 8am:
(1) Fung Cheung Road between Kin Lok Street and Fung Kam Street;
(2) Yau San Street between Kin Lok Street and Hop Yick Road;
(3) Westbound Kin Lok Street;
(4) Kin Yip Street;
(5) Hop Yick Road; and
(6) Kin Tak Street.

From 9am:
(1) Tai Tong Road between Fau Tsoi Street and Ma Tong Road;
(2) Kau Yuk Road;
(3) Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road between Ma Tin Road and Castle Peak Road (Yuen Long);
(4) Ma Tin Road between Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road and Ma Tong Road; and
(5) Fung Nin Road between Fung Lok Lane and Kau Yuk Road.

From 10am:
(1) Ma Tong Road between Sai Yu Street and Ma Tin Road; and
(2) Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple.

(B) Traffic diversion
(1) Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple will be converted to one-way southbound between 6pm on May 1 and 10.30am the following day; and
(2) Kin Yip Street will be converted to one-way northbound from 8.30am on May 2.

(C) Suspension of bus stops
     Bus stops on Tai Tong Road (north of Shap Pat Heung Road), Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road, Ma Miu Road, Yuen Long On Ning Road and Wang Tat Road will be suspended from 8.15am on May 2.

(D)Suspension and relocation of green minibus (GMB) terminus
(1) The GMB terminus on Fung Cheung Road will be relocated to Fung Yau Street North from 4pm on May 1; and
(2) The GMB terminus on Yuen Long On Hong Road will be suspended from 10am on May 2.

(E) Suspension of public light bus (PLB) stand
     The PLB stand at Hung Min Court will be suspended from 9am on May 2.

(F) Suspension of taxi stand
     The taxi stand at Kin Tak Street will be suspended from 8.30am on May 2.

(G) Suspension of parking spaces

From 4pm on May 1:
(1) Goods vehicles parking spaces inside the car park off Fung Yau Street North.

From 8am on May 2:
(1) The car park off Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road outside Yuen Long Stadium;
(2) Fung Cheung Road;
(3) Ma Tin Road;
(4) Town Park Road North;
(5) Wang Fat Path;
(6) Kin Tak Street;
(7) Yan Lok Square; and
(8) Hung Min Court.

     All vehicles found parked illegally within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior warning.

     Actual implementation will be made depending on traffic conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
